In Edgar-o’s pictorial work, everyday objects are transfigured and stripped of their usual function to become protagonists of surreal visions. An apple, a pair of glasses, or a television screen take on unexpected meaning, emerging isolated and suspended in a space that belongs neither to reality nor to dream, but to an intermediate and ambiguous dimension.

The apparent simplicity of the subjects clashes with a sense of estrangement: what is familiar becomes strange, almost enigmatic, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect. Painting, with its clear colors and clean areas, thus becomes a language that amplifies the distance between reality and imagination, transforming each canvas into a small visual enigma.

The works do not offer answers but open passages: a place where everyday life bends to the surreal and allows the unexpected to emerge.
